Wooden Birdcages

Wooden Birdcages
Poem for poetry slam?

I’m working on this poem for my English final, which is a poetry slam.
Any ideas, suggestions, critique is welcome. Its work in progress :)
THanks!
a white purse full of pencils
broken glasses and glass houses
gray parasols and train cases under stacks of letters
she boards the night train under the weight of
empty birdcages and silver teacups
lady marioneta waits for the conductor to stamp her ticket
her head pulled upright, a living statue, nodding politely
alone, swallowed by her possessions
she dreams
of the color green and of skipping stones
a million wooden faces
and the paradox of living without strings.
I know i need to work out the rhythm a little bit, but I’m having some trouble with it. Any suggestions as to that would be very helpful, thanks :)

If my interpretation is correct, this poem is about leaving home. Cutting strings. Clever to think of marionettes.
What are train cases?
Also, perhaps you should work on the rhythm a bit.

The royal wooden pet house,dog house,bird house,cat house,dog kennel,bird cage,cat cottage.
