White Vein

White Vein
The small red veins over the white of my left eyeball are quite visible and spread round the iris of my eye,?

my eyeball is slightly tender to touch but not sore or weepy otherwise.
It has been like this for 3 days. I don’t drink alcohol. Any ideas what this could be ? Thanks.

The Rama guy is right. You probably have a ciliary injection which is where the vessels around the cornea become injected. Usually this indicates an intraocular inflammation such as any type or IRITIS or Uveitis. You’ll need to see an Ophthalmologist and be worked up for the reason for the iritis and get treated.

Usually the treatment is topical steroids, but you may need systemic steroids or a combination or periocular steroids…sounds like it would hurt, but usually it doesn’t, or inside the eye steroids, which also sounds like it would really hurt, but it doesn’t…depending on who is doing them.
