For better or for worse, the whole world has turned into a world of motorized transportation. Whether you love this fact or hate it, it is the way things are and will likely stay. Just remember to keep the shiny down and your helmet up.
Bicycles, too, come off the assembly line sporting plenty of shiny stuff to roll on. Little bikers need to look sharp too, right? And since they will probably get even dirtier than you, the ease of cleaning up the slick finishes of plated metals will make the kids toy last even longer. This could be why the material became so popular in the first place. That and the fact that it is so strong and durable.
And do not forget the grand daddies of the road, those big rigs with all of those sixteen wheels burning and churning across highways and byways everywhere. When you see one with every single rim shining like new tin foil, it is eye popping to say the least. These guys are true professionals, and if they are sporting the stuff it would probably be a good investment for you to make for yourself. Besides, they look so awesome like that!
Seriously, there is something about all of those chrome wheels tires on the road that boggles the mind. They make any vehicle look faster somehow, and cooler, and sexier all at the same time. If your ride ever needs a little wake up call, maybe those new rims are just the ticket to do so.
