vitacritter toy dye vs. food coloring/kool aid?
I’ve heard of vitacritter dye. I was wondering if anyone out there has used it and if it works better than koolaid or food coloring? Or what other bird safe dyes have you used to create vibrant colors on your homemade toys?
I make toys for parrots and I use vita-critter on all of my wood. I do not recommend using kool-ail as this flavors the wood and my cause a bird to ingest it. Food colouring is also good to use for wood. If you do not cure the dye properly, it will not stay in the wood and you will have dye all over everything.
