is it ok to just have one parakeet?
my parents work and i go to high school, but i want to be close to my keet, i will buy him lots of stimulating toys, will it be ok? i dont mind getting another one:)
While it’s not impossible to tame two parakeets, it is considerably harder to train two than it is one because they’re going to be more interested in each other than you.
If you provide your parakeet with plenty of stimulating toys and can give him at least four hours a day of attention outside of the cage, then having just one is fine. While you’re not home, also consider leaving a radio on for him. He may even learn to sing to you. ^_^
