Do you think it is safe to keep toy breeds with large breeds?
My mate has allways had small dogs and she says she would never trust a large dog to live with a small dog as it could hurt the small dog, if she did have a large dog she would only allow them to spend time tougher if they were supervised.
So it got me wondering what others thought about having small and large dogs living tougher?
If the dogs are obedience trained by a strong minded firm human pack leader they trust, if one dog decides to over correct another dog, you quickly step in a haul it’s hairy butt into line with a correction to remind it that the human, not the dog decides what behavior is acceptable.
In the past I have had two large Dobermanns & one small Bedlington. It’s not the size, it’s the mentality of the dog, which is born out by the fact that my small Bedlington b*tch was indisputably the dominant canine.
