Stray cat found: No tag or collar. I would like to help it buttt..?
My mum has no problem with it, but she thinks it may be ill, seeing as it has been around a while (although on each visit skinny-er). You can tell he is supposed to be beefy, but he is very thin, about 8cms over the back , and his sides are completelty strait. His hips are jutting out, etc. He doesn’t seem to have fleas, just flakey skin. And I can’t see anything
wrong with him.
He absolutly adores our cat, he comes and visits her, and guards her (even though she is spayed?). I’ve began feeding him, and he had 3 paws on my legs trying to get at the treat tub I was holding. (This could be worms? That treatable right?) He only seems to eat tins of food and these treats.
Anyhow. I wanna take him to the vets, get him checked out for a chip, etc. Do you guys have any ideas of anyway I convince my mum? He seems okay, but if things don’t check out, she doesn’t want to get landed with the vets bills..
If he is sick and you have had him around your cat I would get him to the vet for a check up make sure he doesn’t give anything to your cat.
Worms are treatable but you may have to treat both cats now.
