the proper way to lay shingles on a barn style roof on a shed?
the details on the pack are pretty vague…i need to know the proper way to lay shingles on a 10x10x10 barn style roof on a storage shed. this was not cheap and the rest of it is built. i have the shingles and the paper to lay under, i need a detailed instruction or a link with a diagram to help please. experience would be great. no answers please to just put them up and nail them down. i also have 7/8 roofing nails suggested i bought from lowes…thanks i appreciate any help on this.

Also, you didn’t mention what size your sheathing was.
7/8″ nails might be too long.
You might just go through to the other side with what we call “shiners.”
You don’t want shiners.
