Cockatiel training dvd’s are great for teaching trick and especially to teach you about parrot behavior. Cockatiels are like to having a small uneducated child, and can be more demanding at times. It is advisable to know what to expect with their bad habits and issues, and all transitions they must definitely will go through.

My cockatiel “Boofy” limps when he wants attention, this was my fault as I made a big deal out of it the first time it happened, so now he does it all the time,”they are eal SMART birds”. I have had him checked out with a vet and there is nothing wrong with him. So you see what I mean about bad habits, they will get away with as much as you let them.
So do understand, these habits aren’t because your bird hates you, it is quite the opposite. They do this out of jealousy, or when they want more attention.
You should consider cockatiel training from the beginning just so your parrot understands you are a wake up to his fake behavior.
Cockatiel Training is not hard, and after a while he loves it as well because you are interacting with him and he gets treats for being good. This is a win, win situation.
