Is this the right size for a budgie nesting box?
Is 5×5 inches big enough for a budgie nest box? I thought it looked a bit too small for them.
I also have 2 boxes about twice as large, but I have 3 pairs of budgies.
That is too small for a budgie nesting box. Buy a nesting box for your budgies that measures 8″ x 8″ x 6″. Make sure it has a concave insert on the bottom so that the eggs won’t roll around inside the box. If you’re breeding more than one pair of budgies, you’ll need to buy each pair a box that size.
