Prices on lovebirds & doves?
Just a question, what’s the typical price of doves and lovebirds from a petstore?
I mean like petco.
I only ask cause a friend of mine is going to a petstore tomorrow and she wants me to help her pick out a bird. I did recommend doves since I’ve heard they’re nice pets.
Another friend of mine had a pair along with some pigeons. They were pretty quiet but kind of skittish.
I was also told lovebirds are good pets. The pet store we’re going to has their birds on sale for $15, by the way.
no jokes please.
If anyone that has bought a petstore dove or lovebird has any advice, please answer.

Here in Alaska, lovebirds sell for $60.00 to $116.00, Depending on if they are hand fed or parent raised. You will want to make sure that you receive any warranties in writing.
Hand fed birds are much BETTER pets, they are tame and used to being handled. Parent raised lovebirds can be very shy, and harder to tame than a cockatiel or budgie in my experience. I have bred diamond doves for 2 years and have owned ring necked doves for the same. I prefer hook bills in general and cockatiels most.
