Can I clean birds cage with bleach?
I got a new Prevue Hendryx cage from someone who never used it, but left it sit in his garage for a few years. It’s disgusting and full of dust, dirt etc. If you have a cage on this order you know how hard to nearly impossible it is to clean around where all the bars interesect. I’m wondering if I can take it outside and spray it down with a mix of bleach and water and then rinse it really well? Will it hurt the cage? I’m sure if I rinse it well it won’t harm the birds that will go in it. Any other suggestions on what to use or how to do this?
I prefer to use apple cider vinegar and water mixture works just as well and is safer for birds and the cage.
