Guide to Farmville Crop Mastery
Crop mastery in Farmville is a rather new creation by Zynga. As soon as you reach level 10, you begin working on mastery and will keep on adding points toward it throughout your Farmville gaming career. You make one point of mastery for every successful square of field that you harvest. For instance, a 16×16 field of ripe watermelon will get you 256 mastery points. You can check on your points on a particular crop by going to the Market and reading the note below every picture of produce. To help you discern where you are in mastering the crop, there is a progress bar and 3 stars. Complete all three stars to earn your mastery!
Mastering a Crop
Plant and harvest then plant and harvest again. Repeat these steps lots of times. The number of points required to master a seed is not the same for each seed.
Point of Mastery
Mastery is really not about farmville coins and a lot about bragging rights. When you get all three levels of mastery, you obtain a sign that you can show on your property. This will let other people see that you have mastered a particular crop. Moreover, mastery also makes the game appealing as you start to get into higher levels where you don’t unlock additional crops or items.
When you get mastery of a crop, you unlock the capacity to harvest the best crops. Premium crops happen at random throughout your harvest and give you extra xp. Keep in mind that it will only work for the crop that you have mastery in. You may also need to use the sign that you obtained with your achievement—post it by the field in a proud display! You level up quickly by earning additional xp points, if you master a couple crops. You will likely want to select something with a relatively fast harvest time so that you can go through as many harvests as possible.
