Why is chicken considered poultry but eggs are considered dairy?
eggs aren’t considered dairy, they’re just shelved with dairy products. my personal assumption is that it is because of shelf-life and texture of the products. Eggs stay fresh on the shelf about as long as some milk, and are more of a liquid form than a solid, as is meat.
