How do I start a pet supply business?
I want to create custom dog and cat collars and sell food, toys, and things like that for pets. Any ideas on how to start? There is two people or maybe three, including me, currently in the business now.
Well actually its not hard at all, because my aunt did it, and she barely had anything when she started, first of all, get all your supplies you’re going to need, and find a company where you can buy bulk of thr stuff you’ll be needing like toys, etc. And depending on where you want to do it at, start looking for small buildings to rent, I think she found a cute little building in our downtown area for like $700/month. Once she did that, Get business cards done up, flyers, post ads in your daily newspaper, Also make some kind of coupons up, and drop them off at local groomers for like $2.00 off your next purchase or something Free when they come in, this is what always gets customers! believe me, lol, You can make coupons and business cards up at www.vistaprint.com, they always have offers going on anyways so check it out. But basically its very simply to start up a business, just make sure you have the money to do it, and the time, because it does cost money and if you can’t afford it, don’t do it, But other than that, I think its an awesome idea, Go for it! I know I LOVE homemade dog collars/ clothing
