my budgie was attacked by a crow in her cage,she has lost 4 large feathers and some smaller ones and bleeding?
she is breathing fast but she still is on her perch. any idaes what to do
Your bird will be in shock ,place the cage somewhere warm and cover it with a light cover,if there are only feather damaged and no torn flesh,then lightly spray with a warm solution of an mild antiseptic,T.C.P. or something similar,1 teaspoon to a pint of water.
Do not handle your bird unnecessarily as this will send it deeper into shock.
Unless it is badly torn then do not take it to a vet, you could cause it more shock in transporting it.
I speak from experience of 50 +years (ret vet)
