Worried about a cut on my tattoo?
I got a fairly large tattoo yesterday, it goes from the top of my shoulder to a few inches above my elbow. Today my parrot flew to my shoulder (grr, he doesn’t usually fly over with being asked), and his talons scraped one of the flowers. It cut the skin. Will my tattoo heal this okay? It’s not big but I can see it.
I’m so worried it will wreck it.
It should heal fine, but in the case some of the color got taken out you can get it touched up after it’s healed. I would keep an eye on it though animals, especially reptiles and birds, can carry bacteria that can be really harmful to our bodies. Even if you keep the parrot clean it still can have bacteria. Wash it with anti-bacterial soap and keep it moisturized, and at the first sign of infection either go to your doctor or back to the shop.
