Can my Staph infection be transmitted to my African Grey parrot?
I just found out I have a staph infection and I hold him all the time and he likes to chew on my fingers, I’m very worried now, but he’s very mad at me because I won’t hold him untill im healed….
there is no guarentee as with all diseases there is a chance that something has a weakness that will allow an infection to occur or one disease that was know only to one species will mutate and be found in a different species. wear gloves and if you have taken your meds right you may not have anything to worry about.
