I want to buy a baby parakeet and hand train it.?
I want to hand train a baby parakeet and the rule of thumb is to have only one in the cage so there is no distraction. Here is my question. I presently have two canaries male and female and two older parakeets. Both cages are in the same room. While training a parakeet every day will the other birds be a distraction while i am in training? Or will I have to go into another room to train?

The other birds may or may not be a distraction to your bird while training… it really depends on your bird so try it and see, and if it is then move to a different location. If not, proceed with your training. I’ve had a bird be distracted by other birds and I have had a bird not be affected whatsoever so it just really depends.
