Does your cat enjoy certain sounds?
Our cats respond (as many cats do) to food-related sounds (tearing open a pack of wet food, the opening of the refrigerator door). But I’ve noticed something unusual lately.
I started taking ukulele lessons, and I full admit I am an enthusiastic but pretty terrible novice. When I am practicing , Princess Blue (the older, more standoffish cat) has taken a liking to sitting on the desk next to my music, or perching on the couch about 2 feet away. Very strange — she doesn’t come around when I’m using the desk for other reasons, so I can only assume she is attracted to the sound of the uke.
Does your cat react positively to music? Or any other sound that couldn’t possibly be confused for another animal or trigger its prey instinct?
My cats will come running down the hallway, dashing past each other and slide on the hardwood floor (even from a nap!) when they hear the opening of a Fancy Feast™ can! Also my only male cat, little man, likes that buzzing sound from those bugs that come out in the evening. Something like “whizzzzzz-e-whizzzzzzz-e-whizzzzzzz” haha.
