{Almonds} – Soak a handful of almonds in water overnight until the skin is soft enough to be peeled. Peel off the skin and mix the almond in a blender with 1 cup warm milk. Before blending the milk and almonds, add a pinch of nutmeg. Drink this milk of almonds every night to help you relax before going to bed.
{Baking soda} – Combine 1/3 cup of baking soda and 1/3 cup of ginger in a bathtub and use this to bathe yourself with. This mixture called baking soda bath is known to encourage relaxation.
{Oils} – As mentioned previously, coconut, sunflower, corn, and sesame oil have properties that help the body to relax. Rub your body with heated oil in the morning or at night to calm you down.

{Celery and onions} – Both are good sources of folic acid and potassium to stave off potassium and folic acid deficiency, which by the way are known to cause nervousness. For 1 or 2 weeks, include more than average amounts of celery and onions in your diet. It is also a good idea to combine these with other food items that are high in potassium and folic acid.
{Orange} – Inhaling orange aroma, has been for many years, considered a good way of relaxing both the mind and the body. You try inhaling the aroma straight from the peel (be careful not to squeeze it though as it could sting your eyes) or inhale its fragrant scent as it simmers in water.
Orange juice also comes in handy in preventing the symptoms of anxiety or panic attack. To use it, stir a pinch of nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of honey in a cup of orange juice.

{Rosemary} – Rosemary is an herb that is helpful in relieving the symptoms of anxiety. Used during Middle Ages as a primary herb for warding off evil spirits, rosemary is not being used to calm the mind and body of a person suffering from anxiety disorders.
{To use}: Add a teaspoon of dried rosemary to a cup of boiling water and steep for at least 10 minutes. You can either drink this or inhale its steam. You may also use rosemary as incense by burning a sprig.
Other natural remedies for anxiety include motherwort, catnip, fennel, kava, skullcap, St. John’s wort, passion flower, hops and valerian. Essential oils that come in handy for people with anxiety problems are cedarwood, neroli, lavender, lemon, bergamot, patchouli, sweet marjoram, sandalwood and geranium.
