Can I feed my pet mouse hamster/gerbil/rabbit food?
I’m looking for different kinds of food for my aged pet mouse, are there any bits in any of these that are toxic or unhealthy for my little guy to have?
I know that peanuts and sunflower seeds aren’t the greatest, so I generally take those out. So if I were to buy him some gerbil food, is there anything it would be a good idea to get rid of?
A lot of stores sell a combined hamster/mouse food, with the correct amount of stuff for each of them. Mice are pretty hardy things and will eat anything, very little is actually dangerous. The peanuts and sunflower seeds aren’t dangerous to your mouse, they need the fats and oils found in them, and there’s never enough in a bag of food to make it a dangerous quantity.
