What do the ranking ladders mean in StarCraft2?
I play starcraft 2 with my friends. Im in a 2v2 division with one friend and another 2v2 division with another. I suck so were both in bronze. One says im in preserver romeo and with my other friend it says were in the Lurker Yankee ladder. What do the different names mean or what puts you in a different bracket from someone else?
Any help would be great.
There is actually a system behind the divisions. First off, the reason there are so many is because Battle.net wants to you stay in a competitive league and be able to move up and down in ranks quicker as well as see yourself in the top 8, etc. If everyone was in the same division it would make laddering slow, grueling, and you would have little to show for a days work on the ladder. You are placed in a division with players with similar point totals so that you can compete for a top position in that specific division. The names are just randomly generated. This being said, it is conceivable that if you and your friend both reach silver league at the same time and have the same number of points you could be placed in the same division.
