my parakeets are stealing the guinea pig pellets…?
I have two tame parakeets that I allow to fly around loose in the living room on occasion. Yesterday, I noticed both of them fly off their perches and waddle over to the guinea pig cage and start stealing their food.
I am not worried about the birds getting hurt. For some unknown reason, all of my guinea pigs are afraid of the tiny little parakeets. It’s kind of funny to watch the keet chase the pigs.
My question is this…are the pig pellets going to hurt the birds. The birds have more than enough of their own food, so I don’t know why they are eating the pigs food. It’s odd!
They are just having a taste of something different, it won’t hurt them, I have some guinea pigs down the bottom of my aviary and the guinea pigs sometimes will chase the birds away from the pigs food and also the tie
