What does a balanced diet for a hamster include?
I want to give my hamster variety in her food… right now, I’m just feeding her Kaytee Fiesta Max Hamster & Gerbil Food, but I would like to feed her fruits/vegetables too, although I’m not sure which ones are ok & how much I should give to her.
My hamster’s a russian dwarf, and she’s not super tiny…. although she’s not huge either! (:
Be careful, you can’t feed them all types of fruit and vegetables. Try following this link http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters/hamster_fruit_vegetables.htm it tells you which types of fruit and veg you can and cannot feed to her. Never feed too much either, maybe a small 1 inch piece 3 times a week. Too many leafy vegetables can cause diarrhoea.
