when hatching eggs, if you dont have a incubator, can you use a heating pad?
i want to hatch eggs, but i dont have an incubator, can i use a heating pad?
Probably not; the temperature and humidity have to be right.
You can make an incubator; I made one for my lizard eggs. I got an aquarium thermostat, the kind used for tropical fish, and put it into a little tank with damp sphagnum moss as a substrate, and set it for the appropriate temperature; it worked fine. I don’t know what kind of eggs you are talking about. Even bird eggs, I think, have to have some humidity. Also you need to know whether to turn the eggs or not, and if so, how often. It depends on the species.
