Why does my parakeet keep humping her hanging rope toy?
It’s this messy knot of rope and wooden beads that a few of my birds like to chew on and try to tear up, but she likes to climb on top and hump it. She’s definitely a girl… her ceres is all crusty and brown and goss. Is she in heat or something?
Sorry I’m not quite sure why she humps it… Does she have a bonded pair mate?
It might be because its breeding condition where you live because her cere is brown and crusty. Birds don’t go on heat.
