Is it safe for me to go on a fruit/veggie diet for three weeks?

I am 6’2” and 160 pounds, female. I want to clear up my skin, and also lose a lot of weight!

With a low-fat raw vegan approach (fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds) it is very possible to clear up your skin and lose the weight, among many other benefits!

If you only wish to do this for 3 weeks, then it is possible to do a high raw to 100% raw approach. In fact, you can even include no overt fats (oils, nuts, avocado, etc.) at all and still receive the proper amounts of protein, carbohydrates, and covert fats found in fruits and vegetables.

In order for this to work for you, you would have to to include a good balance of fresh fruit with leafy greens and other vegetables. Typically a ratio of 80% fruit to 20% leafy greens and other veggies works well. Green leaves and most other raw vegetables are not calorie dense compared to many varieties of fruit. The fruit will provide you enough calories and the proper amount of simple carbohydrates found only in fruit to fuel your activities. (Fruit sugars are the only carbohydrate your body really thrives on).

You won’t lose muscle eating a diet like this while keeping active, but instead shed unnecessary fat. In fact by exercising and eating a low-fat raw vegan diet it’s possible to even see some muscle definition in as little as 3 weeks as the excess fat is burned off. Obviously the more you eat like that AND exercise the sooner you see the results.
