Is is okay to mix baby food and similac?
My son is now 5 months old and his doctor said it was time to start feeding him baby food now. I have tried and tried to feed him with a spoon, sometimes he eats it, but starts screaming because I cant feed him fast enough. I also bought a feeding bottle, he wont eat the food out of it but if I mix it with his similac, he eats it just fine. I was just wondering if it is okay to do so.
With my babies, I couldn’t feed them baby food when they were hungry because of the same problems you are having. What worked for me was to feed my babies formula then offer them a few bites of the baby food. You are teaching them about the different flavors and textures of food and learning to eat with a spoon. I did use a bottle to feed food with my two younger children, but my doctor warned me not to with my younger two. I don’t remember exactly why, but I didn’t use it any more.
