Finches Lovebird

Finches Lovebird
What is a good bird to keep as a pet?

I am thinking about getting a pet bird and I was hoping I could get some advise to help me pick the right bird.
I am deciding between the:
Parakeet (Budgie), Cockatiel, Finch, Lovebird, and Canary.
I would like a bird who is fairly quiet and likes to be held and petted.
Any advise would be appreciated.
THANKS! :)

All of these birds are relatively quiet, but finches and canaries don’t like to be petted much. That’s why I would recommend a parakeet, cockatiel or lovebird. So whichever one you like best you should get! If you get a lovebird, don’t feel you need to get two. Many people think that they need to be kept in pairs, but they don’t. Just be ready to spend time with him/her.
