Animals that can be found on your holiday to Canada!
Now i wasn’t sure why, but after i had divulged that these animals lived in Canada i got some odd looks, now i am not sure if it was the piece of knowledge, or if they didn’t believe me. It did feel as though not many of the people I asked even knew where Canada was.
I was having a discussion with a friend one day about Polar Bears, when I told him that they lived also in Canada, he looked at me funny. I really did actually have to prove it to him by showing him on the Internet that there was such a place in Canada called the Polar Bear Capital of the world. Churchill is a place where Polar Bears congregate, because the setting and the food is perfect. Would you believe me if I told you that there are more than fifteen thousand polar bears in north Canada – because there are. When the weather gets a little colder in fall, over one thousand Polar bears trek through Churchill, a town in Canada.
Weasels, these are one of the greatest animals in the world, and I believe they are the only animals to have a collective group of them called a Boogle! Weasels can actually be found almost anywhere on the globe. The weasel is very cunning and and has received its reputation because it is hard to locate and is a very successful predator. Those that consider them vermin couldn’t be more wrong, especially when they help to dispose of rats and rabbits, much like ferrets.
This one is quite an obvious one, or at least I thought so, almost all of the people i asked didn’t know that it lived in Canada, maybe it is just the people i asked? Now for the largest of these animals, and as far as I know the largest in Canada, the Walrus. The Walrus hase very large and strong Ivory tusks that are used in nasty conflict and to scare off any predators. At one point a few decades ago the Walrus was close to extinction, but because laws have come in to protect it there are more than 200,000 now.
So does any of this make you want to go on Canada holidays, I am off on Vancouver holidays all next year, and will be taking as many pictures of animals and wildlife as possible, Canada tours are my forte!
