Fan Top

if i was to add a fan on top of my CPU fan what would happen?

like right on top of the CPU fan, i get curious like this
would it make the CPU cooler?
if both were facing the same way?

You would be talking about two fans on top of one another right? Well if both were faced in the same direction it would cause the same amount of airflow in to cool the CPU. The inner fan may be weakened over time because it is turning at full power but not having to work as hard as the air is already being pulled in by the outer fan.

Now if the fans are facing opposite directions it would be problematic. The outer fan would be pushing air away from the inner fan, which would make the inner fan work harder to draw air in to cool the CPU. It would also make the fans work extra hard to do their jobs, and would probably result in either tearing up the fans or overheating the CPU.
