using eyelets when scrapbooking….???
so i got this scrap booking kit, and it came with eyelets and i really want to use them but how can i clamp them down without a clamping tool, could i use plyers or what???

You could use a crop-a-dile if it is going to be set near the edge of the page. I have one and I love it. They also have one that’s quite a bit bigger, but I haven’t tried it. The big one allows you to set them anywhere on the page. An eyelet setter (such as the one mentioned by the answerer above) that requires a hammer and a mat can create noise when you use it. You also will need an “anywhere punch” if you buy the eyelet setter. That allows you to punch a hole anywhere on the paper. The crop-a-dile has a hole punch built right in. It all depends on your needs.
Also, a little tip, if you decide to use brads too, you don’t need to punch a hole with a hole punch. You can use a dull fat needle. That’s what I do and it makes the brad more stationary. From my experience, brads are more likely to move around when you use a hole punch because the prongs are a bit smaller than the hole. Just be careful if you use a pin–don’t poke your finger!
