Pellets to hard for cockatiel? ?
My cockatiels try to eat the food but they just kinda bite it and eventually it falls out of their mouths. Ive been feeding them seeds because i dont want them to starve. Is there anything i could do? I dont want them to have an all seed diet. By the way the pellets are called kaytee exact rainbow
Kaytee pellets are hard and my birds never liked them. My tiel did very well on Zupreem fruit flavored pellets in cockatiel size. You could break up the pellets or soak them in a bit of fruit juice. Don’t leave the soaked ones in the cage in warm weather for more than an hour. Soak only a little at a time to prevent waste.
