ARE YOU A BIRD BREEDER? please help me.?
I’m trying to see if my finch eggs will hatch with a candler.
What am i looking for? All i see is yellow fluid.
2 have veins in but the others not.
I have 2 nests..5 eggs in one and 4 eggs in the other.
It is the 2nd time one of my birds has laid eggs.
Any help really appreciated as I am a novice.
Thanks so much.
My advice to you is don’t handle your finches eggs, first they are very fragile and you could break them,
Second thing the more you handle them you could affect the live embryo form forming and developing.
The ones with the “Veins” in will be fertile ,but take note of above!
As a novice leave the eggs alone for 10-14 days depending on what type of Finch and let nature take it’s course.
Have some soaked sprouting seed ready and feed to the parents through-out the the rearing period .
Soak some Millet, Niger,in warm water over-night drain rinse and place some-where warm till it sprouts (2-3days)
then start to feed right away.
Having been a breeder of various species this is the way to success.
