What causes my Genie garage door opener to not catch on the startup chain mechanism?
My garage door opener will not catch the system upon start. It advances then locks shortly thereafter. Any suggestions?
Are the gear teeth or chain worn, or is it the mechanism that latches to the door not catching. Save yourself another headache and tighten all of the hinge bolts 2 times a year.
