Ecotrition for guinea pigs or kaytee supreme Daily Blend?
The cage that i got my guinea pig came with ecotriton for guinea pigs,I bought Kaytee Supreme Daily Blend.Is kaytee better?Also is 1/4 cup good for a 2 to 3 month old guinea pig?And why is my guinea pig Crazy over timothly hay?
All pet store brands are Horrible which a capital “H!” They contain ingredients that are extremely harmful for your guinea pig and can cause lots of things to go wrong with your guinea pig, for example, cancer.
Please invest on buying your guinea pig Oxbow or Kleenmama’s pellets and hay. They are so much of a better quality, around the same prices as those Kaytee crap brands and are healthy for your guinea pig.

Feed nursing, young, or pregnant guinea pigs Alfalfa hay instead of Timothy because Alfalfa includes a lot of calcium which they need. Young pigs under 6 months old need Alfalfa based pellets and hay for calcium.
Make sure your pet store cage is big enough and try to see if you can get another guinea pig because in the wild they are social animals and require at least another cagemate so they don’t get lonely and depressed.

Your guinea pig needs unlimited alfalfa hay and unlimited pellets too since he/she is growing. Another thing, make sure your guinea pig gets at least a cup of veggies a day. Good luck, hope i helped.
