A tried and tested home remedy for cold sores is having tea tree oil as a drink with herbal sage and violet. Making a mixture with these items then add a few bits of sage leaves and a little ginger power and then add to a cup of boiling water. Drinking this can help you get rid of your cold sores in a couple of days.
If nothing seems to be effective probably taking 3 acidophilus pills twice a day in the morning and evening may dry and clean it up. If you are a frequent sufferer of sores, take 2 pills a day.
