Does every undercooked meat, chicken, or poultry contain toxosplasmosis or listeria?
What if at some point in pregnancy the food wasn’t cooked properly?? Does it mean i could have gotten infected?
Also, what are the symptoms of infection? I am pretty worried as I eat lots of meat, chicken, and pork.. Im nervous that sometime it wasn’t cooked properly. ??
Your best choice is to avoid undercooked foods, and/or food that has been improperly cooked, stored, or kept in unclean places.
If you are not sick now, I don’t think that the bacteria lives on in your body. What does your dr. think?
Your baby does need protein. To avoid problems, just eat well-cooked meat. That means hamburgers, all beef, all pork, all chicken and all fish, too.
No raw eggs, no foods that have been prepared on same cutting board or dish that has uncooked juices from meats, etc.
Good idea to bleach cutting boards too.
Just use good sense in keeping a clean kitchen, and have a lovely baby.
