Can you indentify a small blue bird with a yellow head in Jamaica bay, Queens, NY?
It was small and could land on the chain link fence near the baseball field.
Not a cockitiel, it didn’t have the feathers spiking up its head.
it could’ve been a yellow headed black bird – i live in ny and we have some of these by me. with a certain light, it could’ve appeared blue/light black – here is a picture
