Help with a Lovebird and a Budgie?
The budgie has 5 eggs and a chick .
The lovebird is called Love & budgie is called Olive and they are preening each other in the nestbox and the lovebird is feeding the baby chick (definatley a baby budgie).
Is this normal.
Birds will often take on the feeding of other birds chicks especialy if they are being reared in the same cage/aviary.
You have been very lucky as this could have gone the other way and your Lovebird could have attacked the young
.
