Can a BUDGIE, CANARY, or FINCH be housed in the same cage?
I have a male budgie.
If I quarantined the new bird, and introduced them properly, would a canary or a finch get along with him in the same cage?
If not, besides budgies, what is a bird that gets along with budgies in the same cage?
(What I mean is a budgie WITH a finch, or a budgie WITH a canary. Not a canary with a finch, etc.)
They will be fine together if they are in separate cages. I don’t think it would be a good idea to keep them in the same cage. A budgie is bigger than a finch and if they were to ever get in a fight of some sort, the budgie could do some damage. But otherwise i think they would be fine together. I would keep them in separate cages.
If you don’t want your parakeet to be alone, you can try to get another parakeet, [male, unless you want babies xD] and clean the cage out and rearrange it so there wont be domanice issues.
I think if you do that with a finch, it might have the same results, I’m not sure. But I wouldn’t risk it..

Bigger birds are waaaay different then smaller ones.
plus finches are always in groups more so then budgies.
