What is the best size, configuration and material to make a nest box for red front macaws?
Birds are 6 years old and s/s pair. Their cage is 6′x5′x4′ wrought iron in an outside building
Plywood , 1/2 inch thick , 1 1/2times to2 times the length of your bird and the height and width = the length of your bird with the entrance off set to one end . a perch that is under the entrance and extends 4 to 6 inches outside the box and 3 inches inside the box . Dont put alot of work into it , a Macaw will chew it apart anyway.
