How can I get my bird used to this?
We bought him an Aviator flight harness thing (he’s a green cheek conure about 9 months old) and when we get it on him, he doesn’t mind too much but he doesn’t walk around or anything all he does is try to get it off. He is constantly biting it to try to get it off! How can I make him stop chewing on it? I know it probably feels weird but we really need him to have one on at all times
after you have the harness on him, distract him, like pick him up, pet him, get him to play with some toy, get him on your finger and carry him around the house, ….
i’m sure you can think of other ways to distract him.
